O. Festival for Opera. Music. Theatre. is an international festival for opera, music, and theatre that runs at various locations across Rotterdam. It aims to open up the art of opera and make it meaningful to the lives of a large and diverse audience. This year, it took place from 16 May to 26 May.

The focus of O. is on providing a platform for emerging young creators in the music theatre scene. This initiative includes a program segment dedicated to premiering newly composed works by young talents and showcasing graduation projects of promising students. Collaborating with various partners in Rotterdam, O. aims to strengthen talent development and bolster the music theatre scene in the city. The partnership with Werkplaats Walhalla and Club Gewalt signifies the first step in this direction. Werkplaats Walhalla serves as a space for Dutch-language music theatre creation, while Club Gewalt, a young ensemble, has gained international recognition through O.'s support.

While there's an existing infrastructure for music theatre in Rotterdam, O. aims to enhance and expand it by focusing on providing support and a sense of community for young creators. The envisioned infrastructure combines aspects of presenting, developing, and producing, with each partner contributing expertise to different parts of the music theatre sector. O. plays a crucial role in providing a presentation space for young creators and fostering an environment where international collaboration is encouraged.

During O. 2024, on May 25th, Deliplein in Rotterdam became an alternative festival location/a festival within a festival for emerging artists/meet & greet/exchange and connect.
